Grab your tape measure and measure the width brick to brick, and then do the same for the height, maturing from the floor to the underside of the top brick - that's it!

Cordless Blinds
The ScreenLine® SL20SV system is a manually operated sliding Venetian blind which features a single, cleverly designed magnetic slider to control the whole operation. Positioned on a narrow slide guide on the edge of the sealed unit, the cordless magnetic slider allows the blind to be raised, lowered and tilted effortlessly.
PLEASE NOTE - SLIDE MECHANISM WILL ALWAYS BE ON RIGHT HAND SIDE (VIEWED FROM THE INSIDE).
Available in a range of 7 colours. Please note that our colour 'Anthracite' is a close match but will not exactly match RAL 7016.

Add Ons
Add-ons (sometimes referred to as frame extensions) are basically lengths of the frame profile that extend the thickness of the frame. Add-ons are mainly used to clear the internal frame of the plaster line, for example if you are fitting a door with a slim outer frame. The add-on effectively makes the frame a little thicker and stops the frame disappearing behind the plaster line on the inside.
Please consider that the internal frame size on a bi-fold is only 37mm, so if this is going to go behind your intended plaster line you will need to consider add-ons on the sides of the frame to clear this. View all technical frame sizes below.
Add-ons are also useful if you need to order a door that is slightly out of spec for your opening. For example, if you want to order a four pane door but your brick width is slightly too large, you can use an add-on to either side of the door to overcome this and avoid the extra cost of jumping to a five pane door.
Sills & Thresholds
We have a range of Sill & Thresholds to suit all requirements, we believe this is one of those jobs that can best be done by an expert. Our Expert team of surveyors will advise you on the best Sill & Threshold option for you and your home during your home survey.
Cill Information
A sill sits underneath your door frame, and is there primarily to drain water away and stop it getting into the house! Please note the size referred to is the complete projection from the back of the bi-fold frame, not the complete projection from the front of the frame.

Most doors are recommended to have a sill to help with drainage, even if a low walkthrough effect is the goal. For example, external decking or paving can be ran up to the edge of the sill.

Threshold Information
Deciding which threshold and sill combination you have on your bi-folding door is perhaps the most important decision. If the wrong threshold is selected, you could have issues with floor levels and the door opening clearance. There are various thresholds to choose from, and we recommend consulting the help icon on the online designer for a detailed explanation of each. Alternatively, you can view our threshold guides below.
We find that many customers are looking to achieve a 'flush' threshold, so that the opening from the internal to external is seamless with the doors open. It should be noted that a completely flush threshold is rarely achievable, although you can get close enough in most cases.
It is also important to consider that the location of the door is relevant, and if your door is prone to receive extreme weather (high winds, heavy rainfall etc, is in an exposed location or not on the ground floor, then a higher threshold may be more suitable to provide a better weather rating.

Default glass specification: 28mm double glazed units, A-rated toughened glass, black spacer bar, argon gas filled.
Glass specification will be upgraded accordingly based on overall glass size.
Smaller door sizes will be based on 4mm toughened glass, and the specification will increase to 6mm or 8mm glass as required.
Laminated glass is recommended for vulnerable/easily accessible locations, and is a requirement for document Q/PAS24.
